A common mistake among HR managers is confusing general OSHA 300 log recordability with mandatory rapid event reporting to OSHA headquarters.
Immediate Reporting Triggers#
- Work-related fatalities must be reported within 8 hours.
- In-patient hospitalizations, amputations, or loss of an eye must be reported within 24 hours.
